The role is based in Milton Keynes.
The worker will take the strategic lead for the joint commissioning of care for adults and older people with mental health problems, encompassing health and social services. The post-holder will be responsible for developing and reviewing local plans and strategies in line with the National Service Frameworks and other relevant Governmental policy, and will work with the Strategic Health Authority, Care Services Improvement Partnership and other relevant national bodies. The post-holder will have management responsibility for sexual health and drug and alcohol commissioning. To hold accountability for relevant Healthcare Commissions, Local Delivery Plans, Local Area Agreements and National Treatment Agency targets across adult and older people with mental health problems, GUM and drug and alcohol issues. To be the lead contract monitor of the Mental Health Provider Arm.

Must have experience of working in a similar environment at management level.
We require that all Social Workers are fully qualified with a Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent social work qualification.
We also require that you are GSCC registered and hold an enhanced CRB check obtained within the last 12 months.
