To be responsible for the establishment and continued development of a Family Group Conference Service.
The post-holder will ensure that evaluation feedback forms are devised and completed by service users and referrers following each completed FGC.
To negotiate fully with all family members and significant others. To identify who should be invited to attend and facilitate their attendance.
To ensure the child has an appropriate advocate. To make sure the advocate is appropriately trained to fulfil their role.
To facilitate the conference and manage the process so that the family group, with information from relevant agencies, arrive at a decision and make a plan which is in accordance with the needs of the child and the principles of the Children's Act.
To receive the decisions and proposed plan for the family and ensure that it is recorded clearly.
To engage with a range of service providers to facilitate the family plan where appropriate.
